What data we collect. When you apply for membership or contact us, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your professional title and institutional affiliation
• Your areas of expertise and professional interest
• Any additional information you choose to share

What we use it for. We use your data to:

• Process your membership application and manage your membership
• Invite you to SINAPSE events, workshops and initiatives
• Send you relevant updates, opportunities and news from the network
• Connect you with other members where relevant
• Meet our legal obligations as a registered Swedish association

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for commercial purposes.

How long we keep it. We keep your data for as long as you are an active member. If you leave SINAPSE or ask us to delete your data, we will do so within 30 days. Financial records related to membership fees are kept for seven years as required by Swedish law.

Who we share it with. We only share your data with:

• Service providers who help us run the network - such as our email and website platforms - under strict agreements
• Other SINAPSE members - limited to your name, title, and affiliation, for the member directory. You can opt out of this at any time.
• Public authorities, if required by law

Your rights. You have the right to:

• See the data we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your data
• Withdraw your consent to communications at any time
