We are delighted to announce the first episode of SINAPSE Talks, the SINAPSE podcast dedicated to research, medicine, and the connections between science and society. In this episode, Dario Salvi interviews Laura Fratiglioni, who describes herself as “a neurologist from Tuscany and a researcher from Sweden”.

In their conversation, they discuss her journey between Italy and Sweden, the recent award of the Order of the Star of Italy, and how research on ageing and dementia can translate into real improvements in the health of older people.

There is also room to reflect on what “impact” means in research, on her enduring ties with Italy, and on her expectations for SINAPSE as a platform for networking, collaboration, and training for the Italian scientific community in Sweden.

The first episode of SINAPSE Talks is now available: listen in and join the conversation.
