The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskåpsradet – VR) have opened a call for proposals for the renewal of the Executive Programme for Scientific and Technological Cooperation for the three-year period 2027–2029.

Proposals must be written in English and have the same duration as the Executive Programme (EP): three (3) years, 2027–2029; each principal investigator may submit only one proposal. The call is open to public or private (non-profit) research institutions.

The priority research areas of the new agreement are:

• Quantum Technology, e.g., quantum computing, quantum optics, and quantum metrology;
• Solar Science – research on solar physics, solar thermal energy, and solar-based technologies.
